Starting this Friday, June 5, 10-11am, my daughter and I will be hosting our first, small in-person gathering for young kids and their caregivers. This week, as it's our first time trying this out, we will be doing a story time with the themes of resilience, using creativity to aid in mental health, and of course, joy. We may even do a quick art project. To ensure this "event" doesn't get crowded, please EMAIL ME DIRECTLY herein. I plan to cap the attendance to 5 very small groups. We will see how this goes and take it as it comes. Feel free to ask me questions and share ideas. If you are uncomfortable with this kind of event, please simply exercise your rights and do not come.
Kids have been highly affected by Covid and our family's joy for life cannot be confined to a screen any longer and must be shared in-person. Come rebuild your community with us.
Fairly consistently we will be organizing weekly events intended to be healing and inspiring for our children. In an effort to directly communicate and foster a more welcoming environment, my daughter and I will not be wearing masks as we will be outdoors, but if that is something you need, feel free to wear them. Social distancing will go on within reason, but will not be enforced by us. It will be up to you to directly communicate with others your needs.
Fellow citizens of this crazy world, please check FPF every week (ish) for these events meant to heal, inspire, and grow joy-which may just end up healing the world! Remember to email me directly to get exact location info and rsvp. Thank you for your open minds and hearts.
Love, your neighbors Leslie and Freya.
