May 30th is the beginning of Vermont's Green Up Weekend. This is a great opportunity to clean up Vermont's landscape. Bags are available at the Saxtons River Market, Lisai's Market, and J & H Hardware. You can leave the bags on the side of the road, take to the town garages, or the SR Fire Station. Bags will be picked up on Monday AM by Rockingham's road crews. A big Thank You.

Please be careful. Wear gloves, treat boots and socks for ticks (permithrin). Poison ivy is out. Do not pick up any needles, but report to police. Tires from the roadside can be left by the side of the road, but the town doesn't want to be responsible for disposing personal tires. Taxpayers pay for this extra cost.
