This Saturday is Green Up Day...Come Pick Up Some Bags!

Past event
May 30, 2020, 9 to 11 AM

Hi neighbors!

Usually the first Saturday in May, this year Green Up Day has been moved to the last Saturday in May.

It's a day, state wide, that we work as a community to pick up roadside, forest and water-way trash.

In New Haven, bags and gloves will be available for pick up on the Town Green from 9AM-11AM.

When you have filled your bag, please tie it closed and leave it by the side of the road where you left off and the Road Crew will be by to collect it on Monday, June 1st.

Only the bright green "Green Up" bags will be accepted as Green Up waste, so please come pick up a few FREE bags!

Please do not haul any large items or debris out of the woods or waterways. Contact me with the location.
No appliances or furniture will be accepted as Green Up refuse.

Please report any garbage dumping, or animal carcass dumping sites and I will contact the appropriate persons to deal with it.

Please be safe! Dress appropriately, use bug spray and sun screen, and wear gloves and closed toe shoes while Greening Up. And be sure to check for tics!

Please bring a mask with you. If you are Greening Up and encounter others, please wear your mask and respect distancing.

Because Green Up Vermont is a non-profit organization, programs like Green Up Day are only possible with public contributions. To learn more, visit www.greenupvermont.org.

Thank You for helping to keep Vermont CLEAN and GREEN!
