This Saturday is Green Up Day and it's the 50th anniversary of this terrific Vermont event. There are a couple of changes this year such as no gathering for food with the selectboard (fingers crossed for 2021!) and the roadside grass is sure taller. But really, Green Up Day is something that hasn't changed due the pandemic. We can all do our part to clean up our roads and make Panton look even more beautiful. Green Up bags are available at the Panton Town Hall and at 1530 Hopkins Road at the foot of the driveway. You can bring filled bags to the town garage or leave them by the side of the road for pick-up. Things to keep in mind:
1. Please tie up the bags - it keeps the litter from spilling out.
2. Keep your social distance of 6' from others at all times.
3. Wear gloves and have your mask with you.
4. Check for ticks when you're done.
5. Let me know where you've cleaned up and how many people were with you. Green Up Vermont needs this information to get grants and funding.
6. Have fun and know you're making a meaningful contribution to your town.
