The community is invited to join a surprise celebration for Roger Layn's 100th birthday by participating in a drive-by parade.
Parade:
Join the parade with your car, truck, tractor, horse, bicycle, or the whatever mode of transportation you prefer. Enter the parade from Monkton Ridge. Turn at the Monkton General Store to go down the hill onto States Prison Hollow Road, and then turn right onto Mountain Road until you come to the end of the parade line. The Great Grandchildren will lead the parade past the end of the Roger's driveway.
Birthday Greetings:
Noise makers and signs are encouraged. Signs and decorations should be visible from the driver's side of the vehicle.
A drop box will be available at the end of Roger's driveway for your cards, pictures, stories, jokes, or favorite memories.
A personal recording can be made for Roger after the parade. After passing Roger's house, continue on Mountain Road and follow the signs to the location on the right.
Date: Saturday, June 6, 2020
Time: Begin lineup at 9:45 am. The parade starts at 10:00 am

Grandpa is turning 100 June 5th! We know that not everyone can attend a birthday celebration. This is even more challenging this year with the health risks. We want everyone to stay safe and healthy, and be able to join the celebration! It will not be safe for everyone to travel to Vermont, so this is a way to send a video message to Grandpa.

Fill out the information (name and email address) and click "Let's Go"
Click the red button to record your video. If you want to get fancy, you can add stickers, words and other fun things to your video. Remember you only have 90 seconds! You will get a second chance if you don't like what you made.
