Considering Adopting Provisions of S.344
Due to the COVID-19 State of Emergency, Governor Phil Scott signed into law on May 13, 2020, VT Senate Bill S.344 which grants Vermont Select Boards the ability to delay, decrease or even waive penalties and interest on late municipal and statewide education property taxes collected by municipalities until January 1, 2021. The Board will consider whether to impose parts or all of this emergency legislation. Action likely.
