The monthly Business Matters in the Islands Breakfast will be held on Thursday, April 17, 8:30 a.m. at the Merchants Bank in South Hero. Guest this week will be Christine Allard, South Hero Branch Community Banking Manager , who will present information about the Mini-grant program being offered by the Lake Champlain Islands Economic Development Corporation. LCIEDC is offering the opportunity to businesses located in the Islands to receive up to $2,000 in a competitive grant program, which will be held twice during 2014. The deadline for the first grants is May 1. The second deadline will be August 29. For information and to receive an application call 372-8400 or attend the Business Matters Breakfast.
