Join us to tell the UVM administration that the faculty, staff, and service workers who have supported students through this pandemic are ESSENTIAL and NOT DISPOSABLE. SHOW US THE BOOKS, and if cuts are needed, CHOP FROM THE TOP!

Meet at 12 noon in the Staples parking lot on Williston Road for this quarantine-safe car rally. Following short opening remarks from three UVM United Against Cuts speakers, the caravan will head west on Williston Road/Main Street, turn right on S. Williams Street to parade past the UVM president's house, turn right on College Street to parade past Waterman, and turn right on South Prospect and then on Main Street to repeat the route. The rally will end at 1 pm the Waterman parking lot with an announcement of three next steps all participants can take to defend UVM's future.

This rally will observe strict social distancing guidelines: all participants should be in their cars except the designated marshals and speakers. If for any reason someone needs to leave their car, they should wear a mask and stay at least six feet (a car's length) from any other person. Make your message clear with signs, car paint, and flags: #UVMChopFromTheTop, #UVMOpenTheBooks, #WeAreUVM etc. Follow traffic rules, stay safe, and let our numbers, signs, and honking horns speak for us.

Not in town? Can't make the rally? Post a selfie with your message for a virtual protest to support the car rally and amplify our message!
