COEXISTENCE STRATEGIES PROTECTING WILDLIFE & FARM ANIMALS, sponsored by Protect Our Wildlife, hosted by the Waterbury Public Library, and presented by LivingFuture Foundation | Sanctuary at SHO will be presented online via the Zoom Webinar platform on Wednesday, May 13th at 6 pm.
The aim is to help people protect their backyard birds as well as predators who share the land with us. Presenter Shawn Smith from SHO Farm in Huntington, doting caregiver to their 104 ducks, will share the challenges they've had with foxes and other predators and how they've successfully protected their flock.
Learning to coexist with foxes, bobcats, weasels, and other predators leads to healthier landscapes. These animals play vital roles in our ecosystems, including helping manage rodent populations, as nature intended.
