Online Taproot Poets Society Meeting

Past event
Apr 26, 2020, 3:30 to 5:30 PM

Interested in poetry? Join our online meeting of the Taproot Poets Society! In this month's meeting, we will explore the theme of simplicity and finding joy and humor in seemingly little things.
You will have the opportunity to
- Listen to and discuss poetry that encapsulates our theme from poets such as Reuben Jackson, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Thomas Bailey Aldrich
- Complete a corresponding writing prompt and share what you wrote
- Share a poem you love or one you have previously written
- Leave with a writing prompt you can do between now and our next meeting
(Please note that you do not have to share your writing if you would prefer not to.)

The meeting will be held via Zoom this Sunday (4/26) from 3:30 - 5:30. All you need is a pen, paper and, if you would like, a poem to share! If you are interested in joining, please message me, and I will send you the information to join the call. Feel free to invite others that you know! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

On the facilitators: Amy Heneveld is a writer with a PhD in medieval French literature who has taught writing to both kids and adults. Adelle Brunstad actively participated in the Young Writers Project throughout high school and has been published on VPR and in the Burlington Free Press.
