Green Up Day Postponed to May 30

Past event
May 30, 2020, 8 AM to 8 PM

This year Green Up Day will be postponed statewide to May 30 and the Bristol Green Up Day Expo will be cancelled.

With so many closings and the Governor's "stay home, stay safe" order, Green Up Vermont is unable to distribute supplies to towns early enough this year to hold Green Up Day on our usual first Saturday in May. Instead we're optimistic that supplies will be delivered to the town in mid-May and that we'll be able to have a safe Green Up Day experience with appropriate levels of social distancing.

In a few weeks, I'll be communicating with you about the logistics that can allow us to pick up bags safely along with plans for trash collection on May 30.

With Covid-19 and the precarious health situations in our world today, please use logical precautions and stay informed on what the Vermont Dept. of Health is recommending. Visit http://www.greenupvermont.org for information on safety, ways to communicate, and other fun information.

Thank you to all who get out and Green Up to keep our state looking beautiful as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Green Up Day.
