Helping one Asylum-Seeking Mother and Child Have a Home
CASAN's informational meeting that had been planned for March has been rescheduled as a Zoom meeting. Register in advance:

CASAN is a local volunteer group of individuals who are working to support, at this time, a mother and her young child while they are in the legal process of seeking asylum in our country. CASAN was formed to support the family until the mother receives her federal authorization for employment, which is now delayed due to the pandemic.
Currently there is an urgent need for increased financial help toward long-term rental housing
for the family that begins June 1. We recognize that there is a lot of economic uncertainty right
now, but we might still be able to do something to help one other family. Even small donations can add up and help this vulnerable family feel they are finally "home" after what they've experienced.
