There is a substantial need for blood donations at this time. Although most of the country is at a standstill, there are still people whose lives depend on blood donations.
We are holding a blood drive at Catalyst Church on Raceway on April 15th, from 1-6pm.
If you are healthy and able we need your help. There is a chance that we may not be able to allow for walk-in appointments, so scheduling your appointment is extremely important.
Right now we currently have some whole blood slots available, but the majority of the openings that are left are Double-Red or "POWER RED" donations. If you are eligible to do this type of donation, please consider signing up, as the eligibility criteria for this type makes it harder to get donors.
We understand that you may have concerns regarding the safety of donating blood at this time, but please be assured that The Red Cross is taking every additional precaution that they can to make this process safe for everyone involved.
Also, if you have already signed up, please make every effort to make your appointment. We truly appreciate your willingness to donate! If you do come down with a sickness, please cancel your appointment ahead of time so that someone else may be able to sign up.
Remember to do your RAPID PASS ahead of your appointment to minimize the time you need to physically spend at the drive.
As always, we will have a special treat for you after your donation. Sadly, it will not be our regular pies, but there will still be something delicious waiting for you!
