Due to the Covid-19 in-home quarantine, Green-Up Day has been rescheduled to Saturday May 30th. I've seen a lot of people out walking the roads and if you are inclined to pick up trash for Green-Up (wear gloves PLEASE!) I can supply you with bags leftover from last year. This year's bag supply has been understandably delayed. You will have to hold on to filled bags until May 30 when you can drop them off across from the Town Highway Department on Little Chicago Road from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
We will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Green-Up Day this year!
Here are some very hopeful words from Green-Up Vermont Executive Director Kate Alberghini:
Green Up Day is more than just a day. It is a sense of commitment to where we live and each other, it is about healthy surroundings, and it is about connecting our communities with a goal for common greatness. Let's be safe, do whatever we can in a safe way, and live with a Green Up Day spirit year round.
