The rivers still need us! So...even amid more pressing concerns, we are looking ahead to our season of water quality sampling. Currently, Addison County River Watch Collaborative is planning to start sampling on May 6. We are fully aware that could change to a later date!
Here is our current plan moving toward the goal of starting our water sampling in May:
• Stay healthy and get plenty of time outdoors!
• Host a fun, web-based "Zoom" water quality monitoring season preview from 9:00-9:30am this Saturday, March 21. Click ACRWC virtual volunteer training (https://zoom.us/j/652070592)
• Poll our interested volunteers about what watershed you would like to work in and other personal preferences.
• Hold team-based, small-group, outdoor training sessions in mid- or late-April if the Vermont Health Department deems this type of meeting appropriate.
• Update our website (https://acrpc.org/programs-services/natural-resources/acrwc/) with additional training resources, (Coming soon!)
We hope you can join us for a pithy yet congenial Zoom meeting via internet this coming Saturday morning: https://zoom.us/j/652070592.
A couple caveats about using Zoom: you will need a few minutes to open a Zoom account if you don't have one yet. Follow the same link. Also, we will begin with all participants on "mute." Don't worry; we'll let you know how to ask us questions and communicate! Contact: Matt Witten; mwitten@gmavt.net; 310-1269.
