Saturday, March 14th, 9AM-12AM, join Carol Egan in slowing down to find your inner world of art making. Using lines, drawing and exploring the simple ways hands meet paper, we will quiet our busy minds to find new ways of knowing and listening. We all have marks to make, come find YOUR way.
If you enjoy doodling, drawing, playing with paper and pen, have a journal practice, or are just a curious person, you may enjoy this opportunity to slow down. Art skills or "creativity" are NOT needed. RSVP on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/1107329922940619/
What should you bring to get the most of this workshop?
An openness to exploring your own creative expression and a willingness to slow down. During our time together we'll settle into the idea of listening and exploring our inner world. We'll try out different techniques and practices for repetitive drawing and visual journaling.
All supplies will be provided. Bring a favorite pen or marker and journal if you like.
About the Series: In these times when there is so much noise and chaos coming at us, time to pause and listen fortifies our hearts and our well-being. Come join us at the Richmond Free Library for a three hour session of creative expression, reflection, and small group sharing to explore new ways of listening to connect with your own wisdom in community.
This series is in the spirit of the gift economy and we welcome the contribution of your presence and, if possible, financial support towards costs. See you soon!
