Drawing on her research as a UVM Plant and Soil Science PhD student and experience farming at Arbor Farmstead in Grand Isle, Alisha Utter will lead a discussion on veganic agriculture and the opportunities it presents for Vermont communities. Veganic agriculture seeks to exclude animal inputs (manure, blood meal, bone char, fish meal, etc.) while implementing regenerative plant-centered farming strategies. Come join in the discussion exploring alternative living and land stewardship for climate change mitigation and adaptation.
This is a Transition Town Jericho Event, please join us in this month's edition of educating the Jericho and surrounding towns in preparation to becoming resilient communities. Free snacks will be provided.
