Plainfield's Hazard Mitigation Committee has been, over the course of its existence, looking for a long-term solution to the problem of our floods... and particularly the frequent loss of the Brook Road's village bridge through washouts of the roadway and adjacent properties.

We are a step closer to solving this, and want your input and questions.

We will hold a public forum at the Opera House on Thursday, March 19th at 7 p.m. We will be joined by bridge design engineers from VHB (who have several bridge designs & outcomes for us to consider) as well as stream bed & hydrology engineers from Milone & MacBroom... who did preliminary studies for the Town.
