Glacial History of the Islands Talk at the Worthen

Past event
Mar 11, 2020, 10 AM to 12 PM

Join geologist Craig Heindel at the Worthen Library for a presentation about the time of ice-age glaciers and the formation of modern Lake Champlain. Craig will take us through a fascinating exploration of an era when massive ice sheets scoured the landscape, churning up and depositing rocks thousands of miles away from where they started. Craig will teach us how to look for the signs of our glacial past all around us, and will forever change the way you understand our landscapes.

Presented by C.I.D.E.R., the South Hero Land Trust, and the Worthen Library. Free. All are welcome. More information contact the library at (802) 372-6209 or visit www.shlt.org/events.
