Bethany Church, through the support of the Shadford Encouragement Trust, will be offering a one day teaching/retreat on Saturday, March 21, that will focus on mindfulness training as a way to live more fully in the present moment. This event is available to anyone in the Randolph area.
Leader for this event will be Susan Woods, MSW/LICSW, a certified mindfulness teacher. She has had a mindfulness, psychotherapy practice in Stowe for many years and has co-authored the book, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, in 2019. She is currently working on her second book scheduled to be published in 2021.
On March 21st, she will be leading practices on sitting and walking meditations, mindfulness movements, body awareness and invoking loving kindness meditation. The retreat will be held at the Langevin House, on the VTC campus.
The day will run from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. While tea and snacks will be provided, please bring your own lunch. Advanced registration is requested by calling the Bethany office at 728-5849. The suggested donation for the day is $25.00. Scholarship aid is available in hope that the cost will not be a barrier for anyone wishing to attend. When registering, please mention if you would like scholarship aid.
