MakerSphere is pleased to announce an upcoming woodcarving class: Carving Comfort Birds
Carving this small bird will give you the confidence to take a block of wood and produce a smooth, flowing, little bird. Many believe this idea came when a woodcarver wanted to give his grandmother a small trinket to hold and stroke while she was going through a tumultuous time in her life. Within the health-care community, this idea has grown in popularity as a means of giving comfort. Join us for a 3 hour workshop to learn the intricacies of wood carving, sanding, and finishing your own comfort bird.

This workshop is being held at the MakerSphere Ceramics and Handcrafting Satellite Site - 201 Hollow Road, Waterbury Center
