Spring Equinox Labyrinth Walk
Friday, March 20, 2020
6 – 7 PM
Pope Library Community Building
Rt. 2, Danville, Vermont
Spring Equinox, the day when we experience equal hours of light and dark – a perfect balance. The labyrinth is a tool for finding our inner balance, a place to slow down and walk to the center of our being, a space to know peace in these tumultuous times.
As this labyrinth holds 5 - 6 people at a time comfortably, chairs will be provided for sitting meditation and holding space for those who are walking.
Time will be allowed for brief sharing when all have completed the walk.
"The labyrinth is a walking meditation, a path of prayer and an archetypal blueprint where psyche meets Spirit. It has only one path that leads from the outer edge in a circuitous way to the center. There are no tricks to it and no dead ends. Unlike a maze where you lose your way, the labyrinth is a spiritual tool that can help you find your way." ~ from Veriditas
This is an indoor floor labyrinth created from a sailboat sail. It was obtained by a friend who worked with me to re-shape it and another friend stitched it together. The 7-circuit path was painted onto the cloth. The elements of air (breath) and water (emotions) are inherent in this labyrinth.
