Dear Mansfield Avenue Residents and Neighbors,
The Department of Public Works (DPW) is developing the design of the Mansfield Avenue Sidepath project. The sidepath will replace the existing path on the eastern side of Mansfield Avenue from Colchester Avenue to North Street with a wider asphalt path, and include crossing improvements at major intersections. This effort is being led separately from the Mansfield Avenue Traffic Calming project, which will occur as a subsequent phase to this project.
A public meeting was held on December 17th, 2019 to present the project conceptual plans to the public and gather input. The design team has addressed and incorporated requests to the extent possible and would like to bring the latest version of the plan to the public for review.
The preliminary plans will be presented at a public meeting taking place on Thursday, March 19th, 2020 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. DPW welcomes additional input at this meeting as we move onto the final plan phase. This meeting will be located in the McClure Conference Room at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Free parking for meeting attendees will be provided from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the garage located directly across from the building entrance.
