The Society for Creative Anachronism's Shire of Panther Vale is pleased to announce they will again be hosting their FREE medieval armored fighting, fencing, and combat archery practices starting on March 17th. Practices will be every Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Miller's Run School at 3249 VT Route 122 in Sheffield, VT.
Loaner gear is available for those who wish to try. Watching is always welcome! If you wish to participate, please bring or wear comfortable exercise clothes, closed-toe, non-marking shoes, and groin protection (if you have it).
SCA martial marshals will be in attendance to make sure activities are conducted as safely as possible. The marshals are only authorized to oversee adult martial activities. Teens aged 16 and older may participate with parent/guardian presence and permission.
In order for us to offer these activities for minors, we would need a SCA youth marshal to oversee the activity. Anyone can become a SCA youth marshal, so, if you have an interest in starting the process to become a youth marshal, please stop by the practice.
