Students should bring in a small object or canvas and preferred colors of paint. Various paints and brushes will be available. Items could include an old painting, birdhouse, footstool, small statue, or ceramic item. Items should be clean and sanded if needed.

Learn basic painting skills like surface preparation, base coating, antiquing, sponging, ragging, metalizing, wood graining, and clear coating. All skill levels are welcome. Rusty will get you started on your way to painting or re-painting on a variety of surfaces. Watch and practice tricks of the trade, used by professional painters and faux finish artists. Rusty will work with each student and their specific project.

Rusty Trombley is a career artist with more than 30 years of experience. He has taught five different Art classes and his satisfied clients include Ben & Jerry's, Long Trail Brewery, and Kellog's. He has worked in hundreds of homes and businesses in VT, CA, TX, and FL. As a multi-media artist, he has worked in film, television, radio, and stage. Email any questions.
