2020 Economic and Infrastructure Development Grant Opp!

On February 25th the Northern Border Regional Commission announced the opening of the 2020 Economic and Infrastructure Development (EID) Grant round. You can read the announcement here: http://www.nbrc.gov/news.

The VT state program director of the Northern Border Regional Commission will be holding an information session on Thursday March 5th from 10:30 a.m - 12:00 p.m. at the Londonderry Town Office, 100 Old School Street, South Londonderry. This session has been coordinated to inform prospective applicants of the NBRC grant opportunities and requirements.

In Vermont every county is eligible for the funding; eligible applicants are municipalities, public and not-for-profit entities. Approximately $4.5M in NBRC EID monies will be awarded to support economic development in the following areas:
• Transportation infrastructure
• Critical infrastructure / Construction
• Telecommunications infrastructure (Broadband)
• Workforce, businesses, entrepreneurial and technology development
• Resources and open space conservation, tourism and recreation
• Renewable and alternative energy

Depending on the level of economic and demographic distress in each county, NBRC funded projects can be eligible for up to an 80% matching grant.
