The Plainfield Historical Society will open an exhibit on Saturday, March 7 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Admission is free.
The Historical Society's collection has been moved from the old firehouse on Route 2 to the second floor of the Town Municipal Building. Many of our items have been cleaned up and are ready for showing. Items from the 1700's to the 1970's will be displayed. We have arranged them in a room over the Town Clerk's office. Access is through the side door.
We have packed a lot of great stuff packed into one room. Lots of interesting things – an art piece made from human hair, a working Victrola, a gorgeous handcrafted 1890's desk, Civil War items from a Plainfield soldier, a hetchel and much more.
Stop by, and have a look!
