The Anti Racism Book Discussion group will meet to discuss James Baldwin's book 'The Fire Next Time' on Monday, March 9 at 600 at the Vermont Center for Independent Living at 11 E. State Street in Montpelier.
Community members are welcome.
We think that it will be easy to get copies of this book on Interlibrary Loan from local libraries.
This group has been meeting for almost a year. Among the books we have discussed are White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo, Black is the Body by Emily Bernard, Tears We Cannot Stop, a Sermon to White America, by Michael Eric Dyson, Beloved by Toni Morrison, Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson and The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas.
