This class is for anyone who wants to create dynamic, expressive drawings.

We'll explore ways to use value to show light and form and as a tool of composition and expression. We'll also explore the expression of movement through gestural marks and find ways to express the textural quality of our subjects.

Our initial work will be in charcoal or charcoal pencil, adding a bit of color with Conte' sticks as we progress. We'll work on both smooth and textured surfaces and explore the expressive capability of both.

This is a six week class beginning on Saturday, March 28th finishing on May 9th - we will skip Saturday, April 18th.

This class is meant for those with some drawing experience.
