On Wednesday, February 26 @ 5:30 p.m. at Rockingham Library, recapture the moments John Lewis took the stage at Burlington's Flynn Center to speak of his life-long civil rights activism and his collaboration with Andrew Aydin on the award-winning graphic memoir March: Book One which was selected as Vermont Humanities Council's Vermont Reads choice for 2019. Aired on PBS originally, it is now available for screenings at Vermont libraries. Mr. Lewis was a sharecropper's son who was a leader in the Civil Rights Movement and became a member of Congress. Today, he is the U.S. Representative for Georgia's 5th congressional district, serving in his 17th term in the House, having served since 1987.
