April Fool's Day seems like a long way off, but time flies, especially when you have so much to do! Please think of your blood donation appointment similar to an oil change for your car or a haircut appointment - having it on the calendar in advance almost guarantees you WILL DO IT!! It's so important, too. We have 37 appointments in Zip Code 05037 and only 5 of them are claimed. The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. There is no synthetic substitute for human blood. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
