Ash Wednesday, Etc. at Charlotte Congregational Church

Past event
Feb 26, 2020, 5:30 to 6:30 PM

Lent is a 40 day season in the Christian tradition of spiritual preparation that begins on Ash Wednesday (2/26) and leads up to Easter Sunday (4/12). As we move towards Lent, the people of Charlotte Congregational Church (403 Church Hill Rd.) invite you to consider the following:

1) Wednesday, 2/26 - ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE - Join us at 5:30 PM for a time of music, prayer, meditation, ashes, and anointing with oil.

2) On Sundays, 3/8, 15, 22 & 29, Rev. Kevin Goldenbogen will deliver a series of messages during our Sunday morning services (10am, childcare provided) titled, "With New Eyes." Each week, and in conversation with a Scripture passage, we will consider one painting from the permanent collection of the Shelburne Museum as a way of seeing God, ourselves, and our neighbors "with new eyes." Then, on Holy Saturday, 4/11 at 10am, we will gather at the museum to view and discuss the paintings as a group. THANK YOU TO THE SHELBURNE MUSEUM FOR MAKING THIS SERIES POSSIBLE!! **** For more information, see: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Jbxlz2vohCH5Gwbgt9jS33wAmugI8X2-

4) Lastly, we are very aware at CCC that it takes courage to walk into our church buildings for the first time. Who are those people? What do they believe? What if I believe differently? Will I be welcome there? If you want to get to know us a bit before coming here, please call Rev. Kevin Goldenbogen at 425-3176 or see our website at charlotteucc.org. And if you do come know that we will do our very best to welcome you, whoever you are, whoever you love, and wherever you are on your journey, just as you are.
