Have you reached a brick wall in researching your family genealogy? Are you wanting to understand the different DNA tests that are being advertised? Have you had your DNA analyzed and want to understand what it is really showing you? Your Community Senior Center invites you on Thursday, February 20, 1:30PM to come to the Richmond Free Library Community Room to join Bruce Dumelin for his PowerPoint presentation that will help answer these questions and more. This presentation is geared to those who have basic knowledge of searching for their roots. It discusses the traditional paper documents and internet sites. It then explores the use of DNA to go further, breaking through the "genealogy brick walls" that we all encounter sooner or later in researching our family tree. Basic DNA concepts will be discussed along with the pros and cons of the three DNA tests and the companies that provide testing services. This introduction to DNA testing for genealogy is meant to be a launching pad for those that have taken a test but are unsure what to do with the results, as well as ways to delve deeper into this subject. All are welcome and there is no charge to attend
