Central Vermont Humane Society Rabies Clinic Saturday, March 28, 2020 from 9am-Noon.
Rabies and Distemper Vaccines $20 each.
Vermont law requires that all dogs and cats have a current rabies vaccine by the age of sixteen weeks. Town licensing is due in each Vermont town before April 1, 2020.
Please bring proof of a prior, current rabies shot (a rabies certificate, not a tag) to get a three-year rabies shot. Without it, your pet will receive a one-year shot.
Microchips $35, includes registration!
Give your pet the protection of a 24PetWatch microchip. Microchipping offers the only truly permanent method of identifying your pet and linking the animal back to you, the owner.
All dogs must be on a leash, and cats must be in carriers. Clinic is not wheelchair accessible. Call at least 2 days ahead, 476-3811, for accessible appointment (no appointments needed for general clinic).
Please come prepared to possibly wait in an outdoor line in variable weather conditions. Wait times can be significant, depending on how many people show up.
First come, first served. No restroom for clinic. Vet consults not available. Payment is cash or check only.
Please do not bring dogs who are aggressive to people, or to other animals. If any dog becomes aggressive, CVHS staff may try to stop an attack by humane methods, which may include, but are not limited to, noise, citronella spray, and barriers. If your animal behaves aggressively, he or she will not be treated at the clinic.
