On February 21st from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, UVM Outdoor Experience Learning Community is proud to present a screening of An American Ascent, a documentary film about the first African American group to summit Denali, North America's highest peak. In celebration of Black History Month, this film examines the overlooked issue of race and the outdoors and follows the team's arduous ascent.
Join us for a Q&A with Scott Briscoe, a member of the expedition, and stay for raffles prizes donated by Skida, Outdoor Gear Exchange, and Petra Cliffs. Admission is free and doors open at 6:45 pm for the Grand Maple Ballroom in the UVM Davis Center, Burlington, VT.
