LWV Presents Racial Bias in Criminal Justice System

The League of Women Voters, in partnership with Kellogg-Hubbard Library, is pleased to present a panel discussion on Racial Bias in the Criminal Justice System, the fourth in its 2019-20 Speaker Series on "Criminal Justice in Vermont."

On Wednesday, February 12, our panelists will discuss racism in the criminal justice system in Vermont. What does it look like? Where does it show up? What can we do about it?

Panelists are:
- Jessica Brown, Supervising Attorney, Chittenden County Public Defender office
- Stephanie Seguino, Professor of Economics, UVM
- Captain Gary Scott, Director of Fair and Impartial Policing and Community Affairs

The panel will be moderated by retired Justice Denise Johnson.
