Please join us for the Hunger Council of Bennington County's upcoming meeting on Tuesday, February 18th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the Vermont Department of Health Community Room (324 Main St, Bennington. Community Room is located towards the back of the main floor lobby)
The goal of this Hunger Council meeting is to identify priorities and opportunities focused on food accessibility, business development and production that will inform food systems related projects and initiatives taking place in Bennington County. We are eager to collect the insights of community leaders, business owners and residents alike and are encouraging the community-at-large to attend. If you shop, eat, sell, move, serve or grow food in Bennington County, we want to hear from you!
This meeting will serve as an "envisioning" session and will give attendees the opportunity to assist in the development of a strategic plan for the Hunger Council of Bennington County moving forward. Attendees will break into groups to discuss the priority areas- food access, business development and production - and how to form, function, and support the food system efforts taking place in Bennington County. The input provided during these sessions will be organized into a strategic plan outlining priorities, recommendations, and next steps and will serve as a framework for improving the food system for all.
