Join us for an evening with Kim Royar, wildlife biologist with the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department, who will present "Living with Beavers". Learn about the wonders of this unique, industrious mammal that was highly respected and utilized by the Native Americans who referred to them as "Little People".
Kim will discuss the beaver and its habitat, history, and challenges in today's world as the "busy little beaver" can sometimes raise havoc in our upland communities. Kim will lead us through strategies that will help us maintain the important wetlands beaver create as well as addressing some of the common conflicts. She will explore ways we can work together to coexist with beaver and their valuable wetland habitats.
