Middlesex native and former Rumney graduate DJ Barry debuts his latest works at Nutty Steph's: "Project Stencil," for the month of April.

DJ uses software to manipulate photography, an x-acto knife for cutting out stencils and spray paint. Come check out Darth Vader drinking a Heady Topper and a large centipede coming out of a tuxedo!

This is a generation inspired by Banksy and the art of stencil work. We are no longer restricted to our chairs and easels but to the local businesses like Capitol Copy in Montpelier, where you can have prints and stencils printed. We work in an environment that requires gas masks. I don't do "graffiti" because it's illegal, but I do enjoy spraying on a surface like stretched canvas because the painting can be hanged anywhere.
