Future of North Hyde Park Community Planning Meeting

Past event
Feb 10, 2020, 6 to 7 PM

The Hyde Park Planning Commission & the Hyde Park Gihon Valley Hall Committee (GVHC) invite you to attend a community meeting on Monday, February 10 at 6:00 PM at the North Hyde Park/Eden Fire Station, 5809 VT100, to start creating a roadmap for developing community in North Hyde Park and addressing negative impacts of state highway traffic.

The Town Planning Commission is working with the Lamoille County Planning Commission to study and propose solutions to the negative impacts from VT 100 on pedestrian and bicycle safety and the limitations it presents to revitalizing the village center. Grant funding has been secured for this effort from the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development, Municipal Planning Grant Program.

Questions to get you thinking...
• What do you like about living in your neighborhood (Village setting, access to VT100, post office, regional amenities)?
• What kind of improvements would you like to see?
• What types of businesses would you like to see come to the Village Center?
• How can we increase access to local foods in the community and support our local producers?
• How can we improve connectivity to the local trail network (bike, VAST, ATVs, hiking)?
• Can we create more opportunities for recreation?

Please join us on February 10th and help us see what we can do to develop our community.

We hope to see our North Hyde Park neighbors and representatives of local businesses and organizations at the meeting!

SNACKS WILL BE PROVIDED
