Mountain River School is thrilled to announce a Winter Carnival & Nordic Ski Race to benefit the MRS Tuition Assistance Fund.

The Carnival is free of charge and will feature fun winter activities for kids, including: obstacle courses, sledding & snow sculpting. Food will be available for purchase.

The Nordic Race is open to competitors ages 3 to adult. Please visit the registration table promptly at 10AM to register for your race wave (10K, 5K, 3K or 1K).

Race entry fees includes an MRS water bottle, and proceeds benefit the MRS Tuition Assistance Fund. Entry fees: $10 for children ages 3 - 14 years old or $20 for ages 15 years and older (cap of $50/family).

The MRS Tuition Assistance Fund provides needs-based assistance to families to offset the costs of tuition and school activities. The Fund currently supports close to 50% of our K-8 students with a total of $75,000 awarded in the 19/20 academic year. The awarded amount was limited by funding and demand was significantly higher. MRS is committed to developing and maintaining a diverse community of students and families that represent our place in north-central VT. For the 20/21 academic year, our goal is ambitious – to increase the Fund by 50% for a total raised of $150,000. The Winter Carnival is the kick-off for this annual campaign. Please join us!
