Green Mountain Club Bread Loaf Section annual meeting in Middlebury. Thursday, Feb. 6, 6:30 p.m., Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Society, 2 Duane Ct. The Section celebrates another year of maintaining the Long Trail and leading outdoor activities. A presentation by Bill McKibben, "The Climate Fight, A Report from the Front," will following the business meeting. Free and open to the public. Voluntary donations benefit Green Mountain Club. More activities at gmcbreadloaf.org.
Please carpool to CVUUS! Because we recently learned there's another event planned at nearby Middlebury Union High School, parking will be more limited than usual, so please plan accordingly and carpool with friends. We can use the Mary Johnson parking lot and signs will be posted near CVUUS. Also someone will be at the corner to help direct parking from 5:30 - 6PM. Thank you!
How is GMC Adapting to Climate Change?
As an environmental organization, Green Mountain Club is frequently asked what we are doing to address climate change. Find out from GMC executive director Mike DeBonis how the implications of climate change inform our work and operations on his Jan. 30th blog entry. Read "Adapting to Climate Change at GMC."
