Celebrate the birthday of Charles Dickens at Brooks Memorial Library, 224 Main St., in Brattleboro on Friday, February 7th at 7:00 p.m. There will be cake, ghost stories, good company and good cheer. Feel free to bring a favorite story about or by Charles Dickens to share.

As the birthday boy himself remarked, "There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor." Join the party and catch some for yourself.
