In an effort to raise awareness, reduce our biases, and support people of color in our community, Voices for Inclusion in Essex and Westford (VIEW) invites Essex and Westford area folks to our first Racial Justice Community Film Showing on Wednesday, February 12 at 6 p.m. in the Essex High School Auditorium.

VIEW will host a free community view of The Hate U Give, based on the award-winning book by Angie Thomas. It is also Vermont Humanities Vermont Reads 2020 book of the year. The film will be followed by a facilitated dialogue about addressing racism in our communities.

VIEW is a group of Essex-Westford volunteers dedicated to promoting community conversations around inclusion and equity. The group, launched in September 2019, meets monthly and is staffed jointly through the Essex Community Justice Center and Essex Westford School District. The Hate U Give is rated PG-13 and students are welcome to attend. Registration is not required in order to attend.
