24th Annual Concert ~ Sunday, March 22, 2020 ~ 4:30 pm
The Hinesburg Artist Series presents its 24th annual concert at St. Jude Church, Hinesburg, VT with the South County Chorus, HAS Orchestra and guest artists and soloists Sarah Cullins, Amy Frostman, Amy Patrick, Daniel Gaviria, Chris Stork, and Kimberly Durflinger, under the direction of Rufus C. Patrick.
Dan Forrest's Jubilate Deo is the featured work for this concert. Jubilate Deo brings to life the global aspect of the Psalm 100 text, "O be joyful in the Lord, all ye lands," by setting it in seven different languages that include liturgical Latin, intertwined Hebrew and Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Zulu, Spanish and English, and drawing from a wide spectrum of musical influences. The result is a stunning global celebration of joy, as all the earth sings as one, "omnis terra, jubilate!"
Tickets ($20 for adults / $15 for seniors and students) are available from the FlynnTix Box Office (www.flynntix.org), the Hinesburgh Public House, Blue Cottage, and the Hinesburg Recreation Department.
