Would you like to grow your own cut flowers? Would you like to either establish or grow your garden to include beautiful flowers? If so, attending Tapalou Guilds' Cut Flower Garden Workshop is for you. We will cover the following in the workshop:
Getting clear about what you want out of your cut flower garden (Assessing our resources and intention)
Site location (Thinking about sun, shade, access to water, etc.)
Garden preparation (Soil needs, breaking new ground, garden pests)
Plant selection(So many choices)
Maintenance(Weed management, water needs, plant supports, etc.)
Harvesting(Identifying proper harvest time, post-harvest handling)
Each participant will leave empowered to start or expand upon an already established garden. In addition to the educational component, participants will be able to choose 36 seedling starts ready for on farm pick up mid-May. Seedlings will be from a diverse choice of unique and hard to find cut flower varieties.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, February 29th, from 2-5 p.m. in Tapalou's intimate workshop space with snacks provided.
