In partnership with Pizzazz Pottery, Maplewood Inn will be holding a Pottery Weekend Get-a-way. Participants can book their room of choice and add on a pottery class at Pizzazz Pottery - you will make your own country Chicken Basket!

The weekend will include a 2-night stay at Maplewood Inn with a pottery lesson at Pizzazz Pottery where you will make your own chicken basket. Dinner specials will be available at nearby partner restaurants Iron Lantern Restaurant (10% off food) and Taps Tavern (Free entree with purchase of an entree). Participants will have fun learning how to sculpt a barnyard hen basket from stoneware clay using a combination of age-old methods. Each project will be a unique creative response to materials and personal experience. Plenty of tools and coaching will ensure your success. When dry, your project will be glazed, fired and sent to you. These quirky hens instantly earn a place on your counter top or dining table and will remind you of your time spent in rural Vermont.

Bring your inspired ideas and a smile is essential. Wear old clothes, closed-toed shoes (studio safety rule) and bring a snack or beverage if you wish. This workshop is all about laughing and having a good time!
