Jeff L. Howe, the former curator of the Perkins Museum of Geology at the University of Vermont, has completed and published his book, "How Do You Get A Whale In Vermont? The Unlikely Story of Vermont's Official State Fossil." Jeff will be in Charlotte at the Senior Center on Ferry Road on Sunday April 13 at 2 PM for a presentation and book signing. He will tell the story of the Charlotte Whale and the successful effort to have the whale, whose bones reside at the Perkins Museum, designated as the Official Vermont State Fossil. The event is co-sponsored by the Charlotte Library and the Charlotte Historical Society. Light refreshments will be provided.
