The Rochester Town Democratic Committee and Lean Left VT are teaming up to host a showing of the film Suppressed: The Fight to Vote. The film paints a vivid picture of voter suppression in the 2018 Georgia' Governor's race. But it's not just Georgia. Since 2013, when the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act, 25 states have passed laws that make it harder to vote. The film is showing at the Rochester Library at 7pm on January 28. After the film, there will be a discussion including action ideas to fight voter suppression. The event is free but donations to fight voter suppression are welcome. If you are unable to attend but would like to donate, you can do so here: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/ffvt?refcode=roch.
