We're delighted to announce that on this coming Sunday January 26, 10AM, Joseph Waxman will be at Mountain River Sangha, which meets in the Open Sky Studio, 2nd floor, 8 Main Street in Bristol, Vermont. He will be speaking on the "Intelligent Heart, A Guide to the Compassionate Life'" by Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche. The book focuses on the powerful practice of discovering happiness by shifting the focus from oneself to others.
Joey is a senior Buddhist practitioner and teacher in the Sangha of Mangala Shri Bhuti, led by Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche, and a resident at Pema Osel, Rinpoche's Center in Vershire, Vermont. He also collaborated with Pema Chodron to compile her recent book "Welcoming the Unwelcome."
We will begin with a brief period of silent meditation, and Joey's talk will include a guided meditation. Following the talk there will be refreshments . Admission is free; donations are welcome. All are invited.
